WarpDrive - Mirror Universe
Now with the latest version of WarpDrive you can finally mine and grind within the Mirror Universe.
Mirror Universe mining and grinding has long been a feature that was desired for WarpDrive however, the complexities around rift travel made things a little…. “tricky”.
We are excited to say that we have finally made mining and grinding in the Mirror Universe possible.
Using a brand new algorithm, your ship will now automatically travel to your desired destination using rifts that you specify. You can use normal routes in the inner Mirror Universe, or select from a list of options to customize your trip route as you see fit.
After choosing the desired Mirror Universe system to mine or grind in, you can select from up to four options for how to get to your intended destination. These can be customized for each ship within each plan.
- Normal Routes
- Normal Routes will send your ship through the inner Mirror Universe without using Premium Rift Keys or Omega MU space.
- Genalda Premium Route
- This option will send your ship through the Ganalda Premium Rift to reach it’s destination if needed. Otherwise your ship will use normal routes.
- Genalda & Kronos Route
- This option will send your ship through both Genalda and Kronos if necessary. You can also choose this option if you only intend to use Ganalda and your destination does not require the Kronos rift. If you do not require either premium rift to reach your destination, your ship will default to normal routes.
- Omega Rift Route
- This route will use the Omega Rift Space to travel to your destination. This route requires the NSEA protector or similarly hazard resistant ship. If your destination does not require Omega space, your ship will default to normal routes.
After selecting your System and routes, ensure that the hostile type selected is Mirror Universe or mining type is Trellium A or D as shown here:
Finally, you will need to tell WarpDrive how many trips it should take to the MU after completing it’s mission.
Each “trip” is defined by the length of time a ship has in the MU defined by your “Mirror Universe Duration”. This time is dependent on the level of your District 56 building and can be set on the Nerdybots.com/configuration/ page.
Note: Mirror Universe rift travel can be a little buggy at times and may require you to add some custom images. At NerdyBots we have done our very best to work around the in-game bugs to ensure your ship reaches its destination but it’s been difficult to say the least to make things perfect. Scopely still has a long way to go to fix things like rift errors during MU rift travel.
With the latest version of WarpDrive, you will find a new images folder called ../08_MU – In this new folder you will find a group of images similar to custom hostiles where you can add additional rift images as needed. As long as image names remain consistent with the default images, you can add as many rift images as needed.
To add new rift images:
- View the system where the rift image exists.
- Try to ensure you’re viewing the system from the center of the system. (Alternately from wherever your ship is having trouble rifting from).
- Hit F3 on your keyboard to zoom out completely.
- Take a similar screenshot to the images found in the 08_MU folder
- Add the proper 2 digit number to the end of the image name.
- Increment the number for each new image and add as many as necessary.
- Image names follow the format:
- Mirror<system>01.png
- Mirror<system>02.png .. and so on.
Please give the new MU feature a try. As always, if you face issues or need help, please reach out to us via email or discord.
We hope you’re enjoying WarpDrive and Happy Grinding 🙂
